Baby West’s Travel System
Hey, friend! Can you believe Baby West will be here in less than 4 weeks?! I’m still pinching myself but I feel like it will be here before we know it. We are working on her nursery and getting everything ready. Painting is complete and we will be putting together her furniture in the next few days. I will definitely share all the details! With all things in preparation, her travel system was one of the first and most important things on our list and you know I research anything and everything before I decide on something, especially for Baby, so I’m excited to share our pick with you! We decided on Chicco’s Bravo® Primo Trio Travel System and we could not be happier with our choice!
My requirements for her travel system was, first and foremost, safety, then, neutral colors, lightweight, and user friendly! We got all that in this one travel system and, to top it off, it is super affordable because these travel systems can add up quickly. I love how we can go straight from the base to the stroller with the carseat without having to take her out if she is sleeping or, if we aren’t going to the stroller, the stroller folds up with the pull of one handle, soooo convenient!
Bravo® Primo Quick-Fold Stroller
First and foremost, the longevity we will get out of the stroller is a win/win, as it is designed for children up to 50lbs so it will last us us well into toddler years if not longer. Honestly, it will probably be our only stroller that we will ever need for her so that is a plus in itself. For the newborn stage, it has a click in attachment for the car seat with a double canopy. Then, as she grows, it converts to a multi-position recline, five-point harness, and detachable tray to accommodate her riding in the stroller.
Shop my look:
The fabric is great quality and super chic. I love the neutral colors because it’s super fitting for days when she is with just Dad ;). He wouldn’t mind sporting pink for her but I took that into consideration! It also has a bonus seat insert with reversible knit/mesh fabrics and an extra large canopy for protection. And, of course, there’s parent perks – a large storage basket, easy-grip handle with three height positions, and parent tray with two cup holders and zippered storage for convenience. I already told Dean that’s a spot for the keys so he doesn’t lose them :p
It’s very versatile, as it accepts all Fit2® and KeyFit® infant car seats. Like I said earlier, it folds up with the pull of a handle and is convenient for one-hand carry and, if I can carry it with one hand, anyone can. Also, if you want it to be just a lightweight frame stroller, you can detach the stroller seat, canopy, and child tray. Bonus, let’s not forget the treaded rubber tires for smooth strolling because we were super impressed with how easy and smooth it rides, as that is a huge plus when Baby is napping in it!
Fit2® LE Infant & Toddler Car Seat
This car seat was a no brainer for me because it was one of the top in safety and that was #1 priority for us and I am sure it is for all parents when making decisions for their little ones! Plus, it is designed for children between 4-35 pounds in Stage One, 15-35 pounds in Stage Two, and up to 35 inches tall so we are very pleased that this will last us for a while well into her toddler years by just removing the newborn support when it is time. It’s also lightweight, which was a priority for us!
The Fit2® LE is a first-of-its-kind rear-facing car seat designed with two unique positions to accommodate infants and toddlers, making it easy to stay rear-facing for the first two years. A built-in stage-position lever lifts easily to convert the car seat base from Stage 1 to Stage 2 with one motion, creating extended leg room and more upright, spacious seating as she gets into toddler years without taking up extra room in the vehicle. For improved impact protection, the carrier shell is lined with EPS energy-absorbing foam. The seat pad is removable, machine-washable, and lined with dual-density foam cushioning for added comfort and, of course, we all want to make sure our little ones are comfy!
Just like the stroller, the car sear has a chic, modern aesthetic and the canopy is also adjustable and removable for convenience. Even better, the fabrics are machine washable because there will definitely be spills with babies/toddlers lol! It’s compatible with Chicco strollers for travel system use and is very easy to adjust the carry handle, harness tightener, and headrest.
Installation
Baby is due December 5th, unless she decides to come earlier, which I would be totally fine with lol, so we will be installing the car seat bases this week. We got a base for each car, as everyone advised to do that for convenience and this made total sense for us so two bases are totally worth it if you’re switching between 2 cars! Stay tuned on Instagram stories this week and I’ll share some fun installation videos :). Also, of course, once baby is here, we will share how much she loves the travel system because I’m so excited for the comfort and ease of this travel system for her so stay tuned on Instagram!
Also, coming soon, I will finally be sharing my makeup tutorials, the second trimester blog, and some of our favorites that work for us as we get the hang of baby so stay tuned!
XOXO,
Michelle
