Chenille Sweaters 101

Chenille sweaters, cardigans, and everything in-between

Ok, I’m getting straight to the point today because I’ve been raving about Chenille sweaters since the moment I did the try-on haul on my Insta-stories with you all; but I CANNOT help it because this is literally the softest material that I have ever put on. my. body!!!  And a good bit of you guys bought some so far and reported back that you love them as much as I do, so we have proof, ladies!

Anyway, back to the point!  Did I mention how cozy this material is?!!  But, the best part is, it’s also comfy AND cute!!!  From turtleneck to off-the-shoulder and everything in between, it comes in so many styles, lengths, and colors as well as scarves, beanies, and cardigans, which I will link in a lookbook at the bottom.  As you can see in this blog, the yellow and red tones are my favs, but they come in LOTS of colors.

I got mine from Forever 21 because I get my credit card reward points and I had reward coupons – I’m budgeting so Dean doesn’t want to kill me hehe :D.  All of mine are linked under the photos, but you can get these anywhere!

Now, let’s get real!  I usually find myself slipping into “comfy” clothes once I’m home for the day.  I’m not the only one, right?!  I didn’t think so :).  Bra comes off, jeans definitely come off, then ‘activate’ pj’s and slippers.  Glad you guys are totally agreeing with me … I can feel your happy vibes!  WELL, I’m not selling out, but I may or may not leave my chenille sweaters on when I get home … ok, I totally do!  Don’t be mistaken, the jeans and bra still get ditched; but the sweaters are so soft, that I leave them on with my pjs pants or comfy pants.  Plus, Dean gives me more back-rubs because he thinks the material feels cool, too!  LOL!  I’m telling you ladies, there are sooooo many pluses to these sweaters.

Btw, back to my insta-stories, I took a poll from you guys on which burgundy sweater you liked better between the two below; and it was so close in percentages, that I kept both!  I was going to pick my fav and return the other; but thanks a lot, friends, thanks a lot!  But, no seriously, thank you ;).  But I want to be honest with you all, the one on the right, sheds the material a lot and I needed to lint roll my jeans after.  It’s still Chenille material but just not AS soft as the one on the left, it’s actually a little lighter.  With that said, if you were between the two, after wearing them each for a day or two, I would suggest the one solid one on the left!  Side note, that one is only currently available in camel and black; but if you really like the burgundy, check your local store because that’s where I found mine!  If they restock in the burgundy, I will definitely share on my Instagram story and feed for you all!

One more note about the comfort because, why not?  As we know, I’m always freezing; and, usually, I would be chilly in an off-the-shoulder sweater like this one.  BUT, chenille material is so cozy that I was perfectly comfortable wearing this in chilly weather; and by chilly, I mean in the low 60’s, which is considered cold in my world!  I know, I’m a wuss!  Oh, and btw, my boots, which I get tons of questions about, are mostly sold out everywhere; so I linked another killer pair below for you all!

Don’t forget the details!  I’m on a kick with ear jackets, aka back and front earrings!  This is my fav pair so far; but I’ve racked up a few lately because they are so different and fun!

And, last, but not least, I scored these over-the-knee boots on a sale at the end of a season; and I ended up getting them in two other colors, black and burgundy!!!  I wear them on repeat in the winter because they are SUPER warm and cozy on the inside!  I linked a few similar for you all below!  If you haven’t caved on an over-the-knee boot yet, I highly suggest you do on these because the shaft is a great fit and they tie at the top back so you can adjust them to your comfort!
