High Low Accordion Skirt – Everyone’s Favorite

Chatting my high low accordion skirt today and why it’s not only my fav but everyone else’s too!

Good morning, everyone!  Sorry I missed getting a blog out last week!  As you all know, my computer crashed recently!  Don’t worry, I didn’t lose anything.  BUT, I am playing catch up like crazy!  After this week, I’m trying to get out at least two blogs a week for you guys!  On Insta-stories, when I took a poll between 1-2 or 3-4 per week, the results were neck and neck; sooooo I figured I would find a happy medium and give you guys 2-3 per week.  For now, let’s get to the point of this one – the high low accordion skirt (everyone’s favorite) from Bebe!

If you’re a regular reader, you know I love versatile wardrobe pieces and this skirt fits right into the mold.  It’s super flattering, the length is perfect, and the pleated accordion look gives it that little “extra” that your look needs.  As far as the versatility, I love that it can be dressed up or down.  For the dressed down look, with the distressed tee (below), I would also tuck it in as an option for another look as well as pair some block or wedge heels with it.  I was just trying to pack limited shoes on my trip.  And, by limited, I mean 7 pairs for 2 days.  Don’t judge me, we had to shoot while we were there … that sound like a legit excuse, right?!

If we are Insta-friends you guys already know that this skirt was a huge hit!  I got tons of compliments on it while we were on our trip; and, majority of the comments on my post were about how much they LOVED this skirt!  Oh, wait, it also comes in red -> heart eyes!  And perfect for Valentine’s Day!  I think I might get it in both colors because I’m a succor for red!

Ok, update, I just checked to see if they had my size in the red and they don’t!  Well, that’s a bummer and I will now be stalking the Bebe website for it to restock lol!  Speaking of size, I’m wearing an XXS, which is what I usually wear in Bebe, so it runs TTS in their brand.  If you’re a regular shopper there, definitely get your usual size; but, if not, refer to their size chart because it’s very accurate.  Or they also have a ‘fit predictor’, which is also accurate.  It asks for your size from other brands and compares with their brand!  Side note, can we just point out how fun the beret, which comes in 12 colors, is with this outfit!  As I said in my Instagram post, it’s the one trend that took me a while to get into this season; but, now, I’m totally in!  I’m wearing the ‘rust’ color in the photo; but, I’m actually ordering it in black and camel too :D.  When I commit, I commit!

Being that I am petite, I am always searching out mini skirts because they look like normal skirts on me lol.  I’m only 5’4″.  Don’t be jealous because I ALWAYS have to get my pants hemmed, except for my American Eagle jeans because they come in ‘short’ length.  But, back to the point, because this isn’t about jeans, I love that this skirt isn’t ‘mini’ but still shows some leg in the front.  I always love a high-low hem because it’s like a surprise leg show.  You’re not expecting it; but, wait, there it is!  Next time, I will remind myself use my self-tanner first though so the surprise is better because I’m like LOL pasty!!  On that note, my favorite self-tanner is by Norvell and linked here for only $30.  It lasts for numerous tans and looks just like a spray tan!  It’s so convenient to do at home!  And I highly recommend purchasing the glove with it for easier application!

The icing on the cake with this skirt – it’s so fun to twirl around because it’s so flowy!  I had entirely too much fun with it as you can tell in all the photos!
