How To Wear Snake Print
Chatting how to wear snake print/python print today!
Hey Everyone! First of all, my apologies being MIA on the blog! If you follow me on Instagram and have seen my insta-stories, you know my computer crashed while updating so I’ve been super behind on blog work. Apparently, the file vault was on so it froze during the process. The fantastic guys at the computer store are currently working on it for me; so, hopefully, I will have it back asap to be able to catch up. Fingers crossed!

Anywho, thankfully, I can use Dean’s; soooooo, let’s chat the snake print trend. Who else is hooked? I, for sure, am and probably went a little overboard already! It’s totally the new leopard print. I’ve never accumulated a lot of leopard print; but, wait, hear me out! It’s not Dean’s favorite; so, as his wifey, I’m not actively looking for something he doesn’t like because I want him to love everything that I wear and find it flattering. He has a great sense of style but was just never big on the leopard print. I’m definitely not telling you to take leopard out of your closet; but I AM telling you to slither some snake print in next to it to have some variety ;). Side note, I’m pretty sure I’ve made up for the lack of leopard with the overkill of snake in my closet LOL!

Snake print’s most recent debut was in 2013; and, although it didn’t leave us completely, it’s reclaiming its territory in 2018. The thing I love about snake print is that the texture of the print is always similar; but it comes in lots of different styles and colors so you can really get creative with your looks. That’s why I feel like we can never have too much of it in our closet; but, with that said, pairing it can be tricky so I want to share some tips with you all today!

Tips to wearing snake print:
- Same as most busy, bold prints, keep it to just one item in your look, esp because usually no snake print is identical.
- The exception to this is if you were to buy, for example, a shoe and purse combo set together, it’s safe to say that designer used the same material for both so you could be matchy match with this!
- If you want to ease in to the trend, a great place to start is with a classic pump because not only do they always stay in style, but also because they can almost always be replaced with a nude/taupe pump.
- If your shoe game is golden and you’re ready for the next step, try a clutch purse paired with a dressy outfit; then start jumping into wardrobe pieces, like I top that I wore pictured above.
- If you’re unsure about pairing it, pair it with neutral colors to play it safe.
- If you’re confident in your color mixing skills, pair it with another bold, solid color, such as burgundy or plum.
