Spreading some Metallic love, today

Who else is digging the metallics this season? And if you’re not into going all out with it but want to keep it subtle, there’s still something in here for you! I’m actually obsessed with both subtle and bold, go figure! Per usual, it’s all or nothing with me! LOL! It just depends on my mood in the morning.

When I shop Metallics, I always look at what I have at home to pair with them! They are very versatile; but I want them to fit right into my closet instead of having to buy additional stuff to go with them. With that said, I wanted to share my two fav metallic finds with you all!
Rose Gold Metallic Booties
I know some of you were so-so about these rose gold booties and, I totally get its they’re bold; but some of you were ALL FOR THEM and I love it! Check out my inspo throughout this blog; and, below, let’s chat about some tips on pairing metallics! I love pairing mine with these black pants because they have a dressy sheen, which is subtle, so they pair well together!
Speaking of these black pants, since my recent posts and blog, Chenille Sweaters 101, I’ve been getting lots of questions about the details and some of you asking if they are jeans. They’re not jeans, which I love! Don’t get me wrong, I love my black jeans, linked here and below if you prefer jeans, but these pants have the sheen to them that make them a little dressier; also, this material doesn’t fade like black jeans do … win! And, just to be clear, the jeans that I linked are my black jeans that don’t fade so those are my fav when it comes to jeans!

For those of you that aren’t feeling the rose gold booties but want to attempt the trend, try the not-so-metallic metallic booties! These Vince Camuto booties are a little more subtle and are actually in route to my house right now since they’re on major sale at Nordstrom. They’re for days that I’m not feeling like making as bold of a statement as the Rose Gold ones!
Metallic Off-the-Shoulder Top
My other fav metallic piece is this super cute, and a little edgy, silver metallic top off-the-shoulder top! Side note, I totally feel like a Christmas decoration, in a good way, when I wear this top! The outside looks like it as a metal feel; but, don’t worry, it doesn’t lol! It’s a really cool fabric though, and the inside is a softer fabric so it’s still comfortable. I love that you can dress this up or down because I’m totally wearing it to our relaxing family Christmas gathering so I can be ‘festive’ but still eat whatever I want while hiding my food baby!

Tips for Pairing Metallics:
Now that I’ve shared my two favs and some inspo, let’s chat about the tips to pairing metallics:
- Try to stick to one metallic piece per outfit. For instance, I wouldn’t wear my top and shoes together, even if they were the same color metallic, as it may be a fight for attention, so keep it to one statement piece.
- Try to pair them with solids so your outfit doesn’t get too busy and/or clashy.
- Try pairing your metallic item with a causal, relaxed piece, such as joggers, to give it a dressier look.
- If you’re feeling like you don’t want to take the plunge of a wardrobe piece yet, try an accessory, like a handbag, first! That will dress up any outfit and give a bit of an edgy feel. Once that feels comfy, branch out a little more at a time.

Don’t forget the details!!! I chatted a little about ear jackets, aka front and back earrings, in my recent blog, Chenille Sweaters 101, and I totally have them on repeat!
