MUST HAVE SUMMER ACCESSORIES

Hey, everyone!!!  Often, I get people asking me which accessories to pair with outfits in the summer; so I wanted to share some must have accessories that can totally take an outfit to the next level!!!  I hope this gives you some inspiration for stuff that may already be in your closet; or I hope you even find your new favorite piece!

| Hats |

Whether it’s a baseball cap, fedora, or beach hat, put your thinking cap on and hit the streets (or beach) because there’s a hat for every occasion!!  I love small rimmed fedoras because I’m petite and have a smaller face; so it’s not overwhelming on me.  The taller you are, the bigger hat you can wear!  Baseball caps are a no-brainer because who doesn’t love those, esp on a dirty or bad hair day; however, I LOVE the leather spin to them this season!  It gives us a chance to either be lazy or cover that unwashed hair, while adding a fashionista vibe.  I’m not alone on that, right?  Ok, cool 😉

 | Choker Necklace |

Legit Statement: Chokers are the new black!  I loved chokers in the 90’s and it has been one of my favorite fashion comebacks of all time!  In my opinion, they dress up any outfit!  They also look great with longer layered necklaces as long as you stay in the same color family as the other accessories and as your outfit.

| Bandana Scarf |

This is definitely my absolute favorite of all of the summer trends; and I will definitely be carrying it into fall!!  I always feel like I was born in the wrong generation; so at least I get to rock the fashion when it comes back around.  There are a few ways to tie these; but my fav is in the pics below.  Just fold it in half, roll it up, and tie in a knot around your neck!  It’s a super easy accessory; and it adds a different spin to an outfit!  Side note: the solid red (top right) was given to me by a friend who was an Elvis impersonator!  We can find fashion anywhere; you just have to be creative!

| Long Necklace |

Long necklaces have been around for a while; but deep-v tops are super trending right now, as well, and long necklaces go great with them.  The most common misconception is that you have to have big boobs to wear them! I am here to tell you, that you don’t; and if you don’t, it’s totally ok because that’s where the long necklace comes in to add the pizazz!

| Stacked Bracelets |

I’m obsessed with beaded stacked bracelets.  These are so much better than bangles.  Truth!  Bangles were adorable; but I wasn’t a fan of how they always clanked together with the smallest movements of my arm.  I felt so noisy lol!  Stacked bracelets have been the answer to the problem, especially the beaded ones because they aren’t noisy and you can mix different colors together!  I made these myself; but I linked some below that are very similar!

| Tassel earrings |

These have definitely grown on me!!!  Now, personally, I like to keep it simple and have just the gold chain and silver chain pairs; however, I love seeing people rocking the bigger tassels with vibrant colors.  I used to have really long hair; and last fall, I chopped it all off!  It was a necessary change for the acting career!  My hairdresser (@hairdesignerjim) was not happy with me; but it was definitely time for a change.  I think he’s starting to come around, though ;).  Anyway, I find that since I have a small face and since I cut my hair, the larger tassel earrings are overwhelming on me now; but if you can rock them, own it because they are super cute!  I linked a few of each style below!

| Backpack Purse |

Holy Comeback!!!  Thank you fashion world for sending back these babies!  I don’t know about you guys; but the bigger the purse, the more and more and more I find to put in it!  Pictured is my favorite backpack and perfect size for everything I need, which forces me not to add extra unnecessary weight to my purse.  Anytime I wear this purse, people will stop me and ask where it’s from because of it’s quality and size!  It was a random find; and I am so glad I ended up taking the chance because this one is going to be staying in my closet for a while!  I highly recommend this one; and it is linked below.  The shipping takes a little while; but I promise it is worth it!

Blush is the new neutral!  I’m totally obsessing over blush!!!  You all probably already have a blush clothing item that is blush in your closet; and if not, put it on your next shopping list.  With that said, find an accessory to match. Whether it is earrings, a bracelet, or a handbag, it will make the outfit come together.  My handbag below is my fav blush accessory; and I can’t get enough of it.  Disclaimer: it is one of the ones I fill with unnecessary stuff because of it’s size; BUT it’s totally worth it!
