Must-Have Outwear UNDER $40

Hey, everyone!!!  I am so excited to share this blog with you all because I have found some FANTASTIC outerwear pieces this fall for unbeatable prices; and I’m even more excited that it’s getting chilly in New Orleans so I’ve been able to wear them lately!  I will also be including a little recap on some other styles that I’ve been sharing lately because I’ve used them to accent my outerwear!

First and foremost, I have to share my faux suede moto jacket because I’ve been getting tons of questions about this since the first time I posted it on my Instagram.  My favorite part is the price!!  Trust me, I love the designer brands too, as long as they are faux suede, but sometimes I don’t want to drop $199 on one jacket when I know I can get so much more for my money; SO, I am here to rescue your pocket book because this beauty is only $35.  It’s a great quality and fit and runs true to size.  I’m 5’4″ and ordered an XS.  Before you all ask about those rose gold booties, they have their own blog coming up soon.

Next up is my faux leather combo moto jacket.  This is hands down my FAV jacket for this season; and I’ve had it on total repeat like crazy.  Most importantly, it satisfies my “edge” that I always need to have on my outfits lol; but it is also so warm!!  I couldn’t pass up the perfect jacket that meets not only the ‘trend’ need but also the ‘warm’ need because we know I’m always freezing.  Another feature that makes this a favorite is that the faux leather is soft and comfy, not boxy.  I’m not a fan of the stiff, boxy leather.  I go for comfort and cozy; and, let’s be real, boxy does nothing for our shape!  It’s a perfect fit and true to size.  I got a small!  Even better, it’s only $39.80.  And, to be captain obvious, my white booties are on total repeat lately!!!!  AND, Express is 40% off everything right now; so if you’ve been on the fence about them, jump off now and grab them on sale!  If you need more inspo for them, check out my blog, Ways to Wear: White booties for Fall Winter, from last week focusing on styling two different pair of white booties!

| MILITARY JACKET |

Next up, I could not pass up this adorable military jacket.  Who knew adorable and military jacket would be in the same sentence?!  I love how the gold button accents add a dainty feel and the fit is very structured.  Mine almost looks like it was tailored to me.  This is the perfect jacket for a chilly day; but if you prefer to layer under it for colder weather, I would size up one size.  If you’re not layering, it’s true to size.  I ordered an XS and it’s only $30!  P.S. these brown booties are a new fav of mine because they can be worn folded over, up like I have them, or up and snapped for a straight shaft look.  I LOVE them!  And my fav way to wear them is pictures :D.  I got mine from FOI Boutique; but I know they were almost sold out so I found some to link for you all and they come in four colors!

| FLORAL BOMBER JACKET |

I ran upon this floral bomber jacket by accident and it was a total win!!  It’s a very lightweight, sheer material so it’s very compatible for those chilly, not so cold days.  I actually wore this starting in September in New Orleans and it is not cool here during that time lol!  So, it’s perfect for the weather here lol; but, I also love how this can roll right into spring too because of the floral print.  I found it randomly at Love Culture and it was the last one.  I didn’t see it on their website; but I searched them out and found very similar for you all linked below!

| POPCORN KNIT BOMBER JACKET |

This contemporary popcorn knit bomber jacket is cozy to. the. max!  It’s so different, which is why I wanted to get it.  It can easily be dressed up or down.  Dressing down is super easy with sneakers or slip-ons; so I dressed it up with my white velvet booties to show you all that look.  I will be honest and give the disclaimer that it does shed and leave fuzzies on your clothes; but I also wore it with black so I was asking for it lol.  It’s really not THAT bad though.  Nothing a little lint roller can’t fix.  The comfort and warmth is soooo worth it.  It runs true to size and I ordered an XS.

Finally, I cannot cover outerwear without covering the Grandpa Sweater!!!  Technically, on the website, this particular one is called the “boyfriend sweater” but, to me, it’s totally a Grandpa sweater.  Call it what you want; but the best part is that it comes in so many colors and it is only $15.  Such. A. Steal!  I have a few other fav colors that I will add to my collection; so I’m linking all of my fav colors below!  The one I’m wearing in the pic is my absolute fav because it goes with anything; but, to top it off, the threading has a very subtle polka dot pattern on it so it adds a little pop to what would, otherwise, be just a neutral sweater!  Zoom in and maybe you can tell!  It runs true to size.  I ordered an XS.
