Plaid Cape Coat
Hi, friend! Well, it has certainly been a minute since I have gotten a blog post out but, with this plaid cape coat being a reader fav and highest seller from last year, I had to update this blog for you! Since everything is from last year, I’m linking all very similar items so you all can create the same looks. Most of the items linked, I also have and love, which is why I recommended them for you! Anyway, since we have our first official cool front, here’s a recap on how I styled my plaid cape coat from Red Dress Boutique. It was on repeat last fall/winter season and will be again this year as well!
I will be honest, I was questionable before buying it because I didn’t know how it would fit since I’m so petite; but, when it came in, I was so glad I took the plunge because I’m loving it! It matches with so much and can be dressed up or down very easily!

First, versatility is it’s middle name! Like I said, it can be dressed up or down so easily. You would think that a plaid cape is pretty specific but this can be styled so many different ways from mixing it with other prints to pairing it with all denim to dressing it up with a skirt. Just remember, if you pair it with other prints, just make sure they’re in the same color family. My three favorite looks are pictured throughout this blog for inspo.
Shop my look:
(Denim top is similar because mine is from last year and jeans and boots are updated version. Jeans TTS – I’m wearing 0 short)
Second, it’s a “one size fits all” and it fits great! I’m an x-small and my mom is a medium and it fits both of us great! The way it is designed, super soft and not stiff at all, it is a true one size fits all and I’m usually not a firm believer in that size. And by “usually”, I mean never … until this coat because it is legit!
Shop my look:
(White turtleneck is similar because my is old and shoes are almost identical because mine are from last season)
Last but not least, it is so cozy! It’s lightweight but still so cozy and comfy. It’s definitely perfect for our recent cool fronts and I’m excited to style it for even colder weather in the upcoming months. My mom loves the fact that she doesn’t have to take a sweater with her places because she can just drape this over her shoulders; and, if she gets chilly, she can just put her arms through. Her and I are always freezing so this is perfect of us!
This cape has been one of my best sellers so far; so, if it’s your jam, hurry because it may not last long. Definitely tag me in your pics so I can see how you styled it and share them in my Insta-stories! If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or contact me!
XOXO,
Michelle

I love that cape coat. Sometimes capes look a little to fru fru for me, but this one doesn’t. I don’t know if it’s the colors in the plaid or what, but I really like it!!
