Well, hello there! It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted a blog! As you might have seen, we have been working hard to get our YouTube episodes out! Now that we hired an editor, I feel like I have more time. I also have lots of house updates coming soon but, today, I’m getting straight to the point because I feel rejuvenated from my recent Sandestin Girl’s Trip! It’s been three years (my baby shower for Charli) since I saw my best friends, who truly consider sisters. We live in different states (LA, CA, and FL) and were overdue for a reunion. We FaceTime often but, now, we’ve made it a promise to make a trip like this happen at least once a year because we all feel so fulfilled!

If you remember, we did a family vacation to Sandestin in June. You can find that full blog post here – Sandestin Family Vacation. In that post, I mentioned that we found our official beach spot and we would definitely be back. Well, that didn’t take long did it lol!
Sandestin + Osprey Pointe Booking Deal
Wait! Before I dive in fully, I can’t go further without telling you about the booking discounts they gave me to share with you! They offered two deals! One is applicable for the entire Sandestin Resort and the other is applicable for Osprey Pointe Condos. Just to clarify, I do not make any commission from the links. This is just a deal that Sandestin has allowed me to share with you

The Osprey Pointe offer is valid for booking until 12/24/22 and it saves 50% off of a 3-bedroom unit!
Now, before I get into detail, I know I said “Girls Trip” because that’s what the content was focused on but it was more of a couples trip. Here’s why – It was originally a couples trip because we all genuinely enjoy having our spouses around. Well, Charli isn’t ready to leave Dean and I for that long yet and one of my friends has daughters, we genuinely enjoy our kids, and we wanted them to finally meet Charli so we made it a big group trip. Then, we had one girl’s spouse who couldn’t make it last minute, soooo we focused on girl’s trip content with some extra time for us to go have a girl’s night out, which I’ll chat about below. Plus, the girls were great with Charli and she loved having other kids there!
Sandestin’s Osprey Pointe Condos
Just like last time, we stayed at the Osprey Pointe Condos again because we absolutely love it there. I plan to check out a few others in the resort but, since we had such a big group and wanted to stay in and cook some nights, Osprey Pointe was our top choice. However, this time we stayed in the Penthouse and, wowza, it was gorgeous! It was a four bedroom unit and all bedrooms with the exception of one had its own bathroom, but there was still an extra bathroom (4B/4B). The primary room and bathroom was so spacious and had its own balcony. We were definitely spoiled. The quartz counter tops, big (huge) screen tv’s, and beach color decor throughout the condo truly makes it feel like a home away from home.
Osprey Pointe is located in the heart of Sandestin, a 2400 acre resort, so it makes it super easy to get to everything. Lots of things in walking distance and everything else just a very short car ride away. It’s located on the bay so the sunrise and sunset views are absolutely breathtaking!
Osprey Pointe Pool
This trip, we spent a lot of time at Osprey Pointe’s pool and we loved it! I cannot believe that we didn’t make it there on the first trip because the family would have loved it! It has beach entry, which is my absolute favorite part not only for me but also for Charli because she could stand and play in it. She loved it so much that I want to build a pool like it at our next house. Four feet is the max height so it’s very easy to enjoy the entire pool. It also had fountains, another perk that Charli loved :).
It had an an adjacent hot tub that was so relaxing in the evening hours when we got back from the beach. We made to the pool each day this past trip so I can’t wait to bring the family back so they can experience it.

Osprey Pointe Community Center
Next to the pool, Osprey Pointe also has a community center where you can get towels and use the restroom. Even better, it also has a refrigerator and freezer if you want to bring drinks and food as well as a big screen tv, a ping pong table, and a pool table. This is such a great spot to have a BYOB chill night with some friends, as it wasn’t ever crowded. It is also a great spot to watch some football games if you happen to be there on game day because it’s all natural light and then you can use the pool before, after, and at halftime! I definitely want to do that for a game day if we catch one there!
Another small, but necessary, perk is that Osprey Pointe has luggage racks that are always readily available! That’s always a big plus because when staying at a condo you usually bring a lot with you, so luggage racks are a major perk. And they are good, sturdy quality so I definitely give them a thumbs up!
Dining In
I’m a homebody so one of the things I love most about staying in a condo is that we get to take our time in the mornings and cook breakfast as well dinner in the evenings while we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset on the bay! I love a good dinner out but I don’t always love the rush to leave the beach/pool, get ready, etc. Then, wait for the table and the food. Condos are perfect the exact opposite of that so we chose to dine-in for most of our meals and we loved the serenity and calmness of just eating at our condo in our loungewear and/or comfies without the rush!

Also, a really fun idea for something like this is hiring a private chef to come in for the night. I thought of this too late and was so bummed that no one was available but we will definitely plan that earlier next time because the prices weren’t bad for the luxury of it! Instead, we nominated Dean to be the private chef and cook for us while we got ready lol! Plus, he was way cheaper :p. But, seriously, it was one of my favorite parts of the trip because we all got to just hang out and catch up and it was so carefree!
If you do want restaurant recommendations, I’ll chat about The Beach House below but you can also read more on my Sandestin Family Vacation blog post because we ate out two nights on that trip!
Beach Day
I could go on for days when I chat about the Sandestin sand and beach water but I did that last time so I’m just going to tell you about the astonishment from my friend, who lives by the beach in Malibu, CA. She couldn’t believe how white and soft the sand was and how clear and warm the water was, like literally amazed! So much that she actually took some sand home in a travel cup to show it to her boyfriend lol! He was the one that couldn’t make it last minute!
Both trips to Sandestin, I have received numerous messages saying how much you all love the sand and the water there and I can’t agree more. It’s one of my favorite beaches. Also, my friend that lives in South Florida said the beaches aren’t even that pretty where she lives so it’s just something about that Destin sand and water!
We cooked most of our meals this trip but we did order out one night from The Beach House, which is the restaurant located on the beach at the public entrance. It was deeeeelish! So good, that a few of us ordered it the next day while at the beach. I, as well as two others, got the fish tacos and we all highly recommend them! The sauce made it extra yum and now I’m hungry talking about it again lol! Take me back!
Ara at Hotel Effie
I also chatted about Hotel Effie’s rooftop pool and bar, Ara (ages 21+), in my last blog post but this experience was completely different. Last time, Dean and I went on a Sunday night and it was very chill and not crowded at all.

This trip, we did a girl’s night there and it was so much fun! We took loads of pictures, had some drinks, danced, got a cabana, and had all the laughs. It was more crowded than the Sunday visit but not at all too much. It was actually perfect. They also had a DJ that was really good. We didn’t get in the pool but they did have people enjoying the pool. They have a great selection of signature drinks and they also make anything upon request as well. I got a strawberry martini and it was so good!
Funny story, when we got to Hotel Effie, they had a power surge just before that and the elevators were out. Very random! The lady said we could take the stairs. Well, our jaws dropped because Ara was on the 10th floor and we were in heels lol. I enjoyed it so much when Dean and I went that I told the girls it was worth the 10 flight climb lol. We struggled and it was funny but we were all so glad we did because we had a blast and it was so good to let loose and hang out for a bit. To be honest, a lot of people were taking the stairs so apparently we aren’t the only ones that think it’s worth the hype!
Water Activities
On our last trip, we often saw people kayaking, paddle boarding, and riding wave runners around the bay, as we were sitting the condo balcony. We didn’t get a chance to try it so we were determined this time because it looked so fun. One of our friends had to leave a day early so just a few of us did the water activities but it definitely lived up to the hype that we imagined.
You can rent them at the Marina and most of them are included in the stay. You just have to show your room key. Dean and I kayaked because we figured that would be easiest with Charli and Meredith did the paddle board. It was so serene and peaceful. We didn’t use the whole hour because Charli got impatient but it was fun while it lasted lol. When we got off the kayak, she said, “that was fun, Dada” lol. We were like “oh really?” LOL! Toddlers!
The Marina is adjacent to Baytowne Wharf, which I chatted a lot about in the Sandestin Family Vacation blog post. We went on the way out this time but I want to go back to spend a full day there again because Charli loved it on the first trip. Plus, I’d like to do the zip lining and some of the adventure activities. If we go back in November, it will probably be gorgeous weather to go during the day and, with my booking deal, that’s a no brainer!

Baytowne Wharf also has the cutest photo opps!
Fitness Center
Our friends walked to the gym one morning and they loved it! They used the steam room and the sauna and said it was very relaxing. They also said it is such a great size gym for vacation. I’m never in a hurry to get a gym on vacation but Dean always loves to utilize it. When we go and I’m not working so much, I’ll let him escape there since he is always so awesome helping me with Charli on my work trips! He’s amazing at home as well but he’s like SuperDad on work vacations because I have so much to do!
I didn’t make them take pics so they could have some free time lol! I have good friends!
Lost and Found
I know this is random but I have to give a shout out to the housekeeping and lost and found department. First of all, housekeeping is amazing. I chatted about this in the last blog post, but you really don’t have to bring anything. They have everything and housekeeping comes daily if you want them too. We washed our own towels because it’s available but housekeeping was available if needed. Don’t forget to tip your housekeepers!
Then, when we were checking out, we were running behind (blame the toddler hehe) and they waited for us and were so nice and patient! And, leave it to use to make ourselves so at home that we left our vitamins in the kitchen drawer and our mini backpack ice chest in the parking lot. We’re really not morning people lol. They went early to check the parking lot for us to bring it to lost and found and they are getting everything shipped back to us. They were so beyond helpful to work with and accommodate us to get our belongings back to us!
