TASC PERFORMANCE

Green Smoothie Recipe
Hello, friends!!! I’m taking a commercial break from my dressy trends today to chat about some performance athletic wear, from tasc, that I absolutely love! I don’t know if you guys know this, but a few years ago, I modeled for tasc and was impressed with this company from day one. I remember the first thing that reeled me in was the quality, which has gotten even better if that is possible! I didn’t think it was but they accomplished it. You guys, I’m not kidding, I have an entire shelf in my closet devoted to tasc performance. Second, was the thumbholes in the designs but we will get to that in a few.
I am a sucker for fitness clothes! On days that I am not in my jeans and t-shirt, you will always find me in fitness clothes, as I am sure you guys have noticed in my Insta-stories. Plus, I feel like if I am always in my workout clothes it forces me to workout even on days when I need an extra push. I mean, I’m already in the clothes, so why not workout at that point, right? Plus, I just feel like I’m more productive in workout clothes instead of staying in my pajamas on the days that I work from home. Don’t judge me! Do any of you that work from home feel the same way?
Anyway, back to tascbecause they are the reason that I love staying in my performance wear! Their clothes are made mostly of organic cotton and bamboo viscose. The fabric that started the tasc performance brand, MOSOtech, is a unique blend of bamboo and organic cotton making it silky-soft and fully loaded with natural performance benefits. It’s the perfect fabric for any activity, as it is extremely comfortable regardless the level of intensity. Their brand releases natural performance characteristics without the use of chemical enhancements.
Benefits of tasc performance material:
- Wicks moisture
- Anti-odor
- Breathable
- Incredible comfort
- Naturally UPF 50+ Protection
- Temperature Regulation
My current fav pieces from tasc performance:
I don’t know about you guys, but I love working out in a matching set, as I, of course, love to bring fashion into my performance wear, as well. With that said, I was ‘set’ (pun intended) on the NOLA Reversible Sports Bra and NOLA Legging. Not only is this an adorable set, but it is also super comfortable. The material is thicker so it gives support in all the right places, if you know what I mean, ladies; but it is still breathable because of the materials that they use in designing the clothes. Plus, bonus time, they have a key slot right in the front to keep your keys secure while you run or workout!
To top off this set, I love that when it starts to get a little chilly out, the NOLA 1/4 Zip goes perfectly over it and looks like it’s a piece of the set. Being that it’s the same print, the pullover gives it a little pop of color! Side note, we are back to the thumbholes! One of my absolute favorite features about tasc apparel is that they have always had the thumbholes in the sleeves. Is it just me, or does the thumbhole feature reel you guys right in, as well? I love it! Also, since this has a zipper, they have the lockdown zipper feature (pictured middle below) so the zipper doesn’t scratch your neck when wearing it. This is totally comfort at it’s finest! One more side note, I’m currently wearing a pair of last season’s leggings so as I am chatting about the comfort, it’s truly coming from the heart LOL!
Another favorite is the Riverwalk Sweatshirt! I loved pairing this one with the NOLA Legging, as well, because this is such a cozy, comfy sweatshirt. Although it’s not the same print, I am always up for pairing a sweatshirt with ANYTHING and the solid totally works. I love that this isn’t just a plain sweatshirt though, as it has the button detail on the left hip which adds that ‘extra’ little bit of perfection! Additionally, I love how I can wear this as casual wear with some denim and sneakers for an everyday look, as well! Overall, this sweatshirt is the definition of comfort!!!
Next up is the Street to Studio Tank! Ok, this tank gives me all the happy feels! It’s all one piece: the black undershirt + the gray loose fitting tank! I love this because some people like the support of their clothes being fitted, but they would prefer to have a looser shirt over it! This shirt is literally the solution to that! For me, it depends on the day and where I’m working out; but, regardless, some days, I’m just feeling more of a flowy vibe and reach for this one! I loved the gray and black because I can wear it with almost any of my workout pants!
And, last, but not least, the Terrace Pocket Tight is one of my new favorite leggings!!! This one is a little thicker than the NOLA Legging but, again, still breathable due to the material and temperature regulation. I must admit that one of my favorite features is the pocket because it’s perfect size for any phone (esp my massive case), which is essential for us bloggers; and it also keeps my key secure if I go for a walk or run! I’m really excited to see how warm these keep me with the temperature regulation as we approach the chilly weather in the next month or two. Sooner than later, please, Mother Nature! 😀
Gentlemen, don’t feel left out because they have an awesome men’s collection for you guys, too! In fact, my hubby did a shoot with me once, as well, and he loves their clothes; so I have been building him his own tasc shelf also! Ladies, this would make great gifts for your significant other with the holidays coming up!

While I’m feeling the fitness vibe today, I also wanted to share my green smoothie recipe with you all! I came up with it a few years ago through trial & error but it is literally one of my favorite meals! Speaking of meals, it is great to give your body one liquid meal a day, esp one filled with as many nutrients as this smoothie. First, let’s go over the recipe:
Ingredients:
- Spinach (about 1/2 handful)
- Kale (about 1 branche)
- ½ apple
- ½ banana
- ½ handful blueberries
- ½ handful strawberries
- ½ carrot
- ½ cucumber
- 1 packet of acai sorbet
- 2 ice cubes (for coldness, but optional)
- Juice of your choice (but cut in ½ with water to keep sugar low). If you can do just water, then go for it! If you use juice, make sure it is 100% juice. No “diet”, “natural” or “from concentrate” labels and get it from Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, or some place similar. My favs are apple juice and/or blueberry pomegranate juice halved with water!
Blend all of the above in a NutriBullet if you’re making it just for you! We have a big blender, so we double these ingredients and save the other for the next day! If you do this, save it in a glass bottle because it keeps nutrients longer! If you don’t like it the first time, do some trial and error with the amounts of juice or maybe an extra banana. Find your perfect recipe and you will get the hang of it every time following!
Now, that you have a grasp on making the smoothie, think about it: if you sit down to eat all of those ingredients in their regular form, you probably won’t finish anything after the apple and banana; but, if you blend it all in a smoothie, you will most probably drink the whole thing and get the nutrients of all of those fruits and veggies, which are super beneficial for your body!
In the past, I covered a Full Body Core Workout; and, today, we covered a healthy green smoothie as well as some fantastic athletic apparel from tasc performance to boost your active routine! I hope this helps you all get off to a good start or even enhance your current routine!
Per usual, I always enjoy helping you all with styling so always feel free to contact me!
Until next time, peace and love!
XOXO,
Michelle

I’ve just recently came across your blog and love them btw! Great info! I do have a question about the green smoothie – what are the açaí packets? I’m always looking for green smoothies as I love to start out the day with it Makes me feel better 😊

Hi Karen! Thanks for being here and for your kind words! The açaí packets are just frozen açaí fruit that I blend in! You can find them in the frozen fruit section of probably any grocery store. I get them at either Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods :). They usually come in a rectangular pocket and there’s a few in the bag! They also have the version that comes in the pint size containers too if you prefer that!
