VALENTINE’S DAY DATE NIGHT IDEAS
Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with you significant other, spouse, bestie, fur baby, family, or even by yourself, there is something in here for you; so, let’s chat some Valentine’s Day Date Night Ideas to enjoy the day of love! Before we get into that, remember to celebrate this every day of the year and not just on this one day. Honor your relationship and love your partner and even yourself each and every day.
Before I get to the date ideas, just a reminder, don’t forget the card! I went into detail on this on my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Him & Her blog; so, if you missed it, check it out for more on that, esp if you need some last minute goodies! And don’t forget to get rid of social media for the day to focus on your loved one – disconnect to connect!

Dinner and a Movie
Whether you decide to go to a restaurant and a theatre or stay home for dinner and a movie night, turn off the social media and connect with your partner. If you decide to stay home for this one, spend some time making the entire feast together because it will be even more enjoyable! Watch a great love story or a comedy; but, if it’s your style, go for a horror, even those have a love story somewhere in the mix. Oh, and don’t forget the dessert and a fine wine! Dean and I’s favorite sweet red is called Apothic Red Blend and it’s under $10 at almost any grocery store! Delish!
Picnic in the Park
Bring a blanket, food, and some snacks and go to the park for an evening picnic. If it’s cold in your area, bring some warming gloves! You can either make the food together or grab it to spend more QT in the park. If you have a dog, this is the perfect time to bring them along, they want love too! Relax and once the sun sets, do some star gazing together, if you have good weather, of course!
Go on a Hike
I know this sounds strenuous; but it’s really not! Disconnect from the social world, join Mother Nature, and go on a hike to be present with each other. Hiking doesn’t have to be a strenuous mountain climb; it can be along some trails at your nearest state park. Be present with nature. Look for things that you haven’t seen before. Enjoy nature and appreciate the beauty in it! When you return, draw a bubble bath to enjoy it together because, let’s be real, you probably won’t smell the best after this one 😉
Bounce House
Let go of adulthood, embrace your inner kid again, and go to a bounce house or something fun like that! These are a blast; and, being that all kids are in school right now, you will probably have the whole place to yourself. Let that imagination free and go have a fun, active adventure. Just don’t think you can do those backflips like you could when you were a kid and break something. This date can always be combined with the picnic in the park to follow, def not before tho haha! Then, draw that bubble bath when you get home!
Couples Spa Day
This one is a complete winner if you are trying to surprise you partner! You can never go wrong with a Spa Day! Whether it’s mani pedi’s or couples massage, it’s a win. Always throw this icing on the cake and go to a place where you guys can enjoy a hot tub and champagne or something like that after the massage! Complete paradise for the day! You can always top this off with ordering take-out and a movie on the couch at home after because, in all honesty, no one wants to exert any energy after a blissful massage!
Ultimate Date Night
If you’re going all out, plan the ultimate date night at a hotel for you and your partner. Plan dinner, a movie, then a reservation at a hotel so you guys can indulge in a night away with no interruptions, especially if you have kids! Pick a hotel with a spa because nothing tops off the ultimate date night like a couples massage, some champagne, and desserts. Oh, and don’t forget the rose petals for this one 😉 You’re welcome!
The Love Letter
Regardless which date idea you pick, this one fits in to all of them and goes a very long way, like further than those love petals! Write a love letter to each other. It can be in your card or it can even be a letter on paper that you put into the card. Long or short, tell your partner what they mean to you, what love means to you, and what your relationship means to you!
