What’s In My Hammitt Bag?

Bag, as in handbag, of course!  As women, we have bags of all shapes, sizes, and colors to match all outfits and shoes!  But, we also have that everyday handbag that is our go-to because, let’s be honest, majority of us don’t switch on a daily basis.  If you do, kudos to you because, even as a fashion blogger, I don’t switch daily lol, especially since I recently got my new Hammitt bag!  Lucky for me, it’s a neutral pewter color and goes with everything; but, before we get to ‘what’s in my Hammitt bag?’, I want to tell you a little bit about the bag!

When I first posted that I had this blog coming soon, I was so excited to receive DM’s saying things like, “OMG, I LOVE Hammitt bags” and some of you even told me which one is next on your list; and, since you guys are family, I already knew it was a good choice because we have that trust kicking!  Believe it or not, this is actually my first designer handbag outside of one that I found on major sale once because it was out of season; so, technically, I consider this my first and I’m obsessed.

The quality of the bag is amazing and it’s obvious from the moment you hold it and throw it over your shoulder because it’s still very lightweight.  I love that it’s perfect size also.  I’m one of those people that if the purse is too big, I will fill it with pointless things that I don’t need.  I know I’m not alone there, right?  Because I always have that  bonding convo with others who get it lol.

The style I have pictured is called the VIP Clutch in pewter/brushed silver and I’m loving the pop of red in the inside, especially since red is one of my fav colors to wear.  The strap is VERY durable and it’s also removable; so, it’s perfect size and super efficient to go from everyday crossbody to a clutch for a happy hour or dinner.  It’s super soft and I love the studded detail along the sides of it, as it just gives it that extra little bit of flare!  More than anything, I love the softness and flexibility of it; and, by that, I mean that’s not ‘stiff’ so you can fit a little more in it if you need to, which is why it is so perfect for day to night transitions.

And, wait, ladies, here’s the BEST things about Hammitt bags – they have a LIFETIME warranty. If any zippers or hardware happen to break, they cover repairs!  That’s when you know the quality is amazing because the company backs it up 🙂

Now, let’s get to what’s in the bag!  The number #1 essential in my handbag is my wallet!!!  I used to have a super thick one that would cause me to pile up receipts; but, my Hammitt wallet is super efficient and durable.  I have enough card slots and still have a zip pouch for change and insurance cards.  Other than that, everything else in my wallet was clutter so I totally appreciate Hammitt’s help in decluttering my wallet mess.  Also, can we all just swoon over the print of those wallet!  If you guys saw my snake print blog, it’s no secret that this is my FAV print!

Besides the wallet:

• oil blotting pads
  • If you guys have seen any of my skin care videos on my Insta-stories, it’s no surprise that I have these, as I have the oiliest skin!  No joke, I buy them in bulk on Amazon because it’s that bad.  But, hey, people tell me that apparently that will keep me looking young for years so I’ll take it!
• chapstick
  • This is a must for me!  Despite my oily skin, my lips are always dry, which makes me want to pick at them if I don’t have chapstick around.  I also have one in every room in my house but this is about the bag ;).  My favs are the EOS brand in the stick because it’s easier to carry in my purse and a natural one that I got at Veggie Fest (I know, what a nerd) one year that I’m determined to find again!  When I do, I will fill you guys in!
• business cards
  • These aren’t necessarily in order of importance but I’m kind of putting the blotting pads and chapstick before business cards because it’s that serious, y’all!  But, for obvious reasons, my biz cards are an essential with all my handles so people can connect with us and join our community, friends!  I’m sure you all know this; but Vista Print has the best deals!
• lipstick & gloss
  • Depending on the day and what I have going on, I choose between two different brands!  The Perfect Face is my number one because it’s the perfect neutral!!!  I use either Spice or Cameo liner with Au Natural lipstick topped off with some Cocoa Puff gloss!  That’s what’s usually in my photo shoot pics.  And, if I’m doing more of a matte look, I also love Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K.
• WO(man) card
  • That’s right!  The little silver tool at the top left of the flat lay below is this WO(man) card that is 11 tools in one.  It’s pretty awesome.  I gave it to all the guys for Christmas and I loved it to much that I kept one for my mom and I.  It’s super essential to have and it fits right in a wallet credit card slot – super efficient and handy!  I linked the one with 10 available because it’s a better deal ($10) so hand them out to your friends and give them their man card or WO(man) card!
• sunnies
  • I need to protect my face and eyes!  I also keep some in my car though and switch them out to match my outfit hehe!
• nail file
  • This is a must for me because I keep my nails natural and every now and then we have a breaksie so the file saves the day!  I take vitamins specifically for my nails; so I really try to keep them on point.  I  change my polish too much to commit to shellac or fake nails.  Oh, and, side note, I will have a blog coming out soon on my daily vitamin routines; so, stay tuned and those questions will be answered soon 🙂
• bandaids
  • These weren’t always a must for me until recently, like maybe within the past year or so.  Randomly, I’ve needed them or someone had asked me; so, I started carrying a few at a time and they’ve come in handy for me.  I carry the mustache ones to keep it fun. I mean, c’mon, we can have the plain boring ones!
• earbuds
  • My use for these has declined and I may not keep them in there much longer; but, since they’re in there now, I had to share!  I used to use these for handsfree driving; but, since our phones connect to our cars now, I don’t need it for that.  Then, I used them for auditions to run lines; but, again, that connects to the car and we mostly self-tape everything now.  Therefore, I’m finding less and less use for them; but, I’ll keep them around a little longer for now.
• phone charger
  • Well, this one is obvious so I don’t think I need to explain further lol!  But, all of my work is on my phone; so, I keep chargers around constantly to make sure I’m never risking it.  However, it’s kind of nice every now and then when it just dies and you have just connect with the world around you; but that’s a convo for another day lol!
• feminine products
  • Ok, if I had a dollar for every time I have been asked for one of these … for real tho!  I could possibly fund my own film.  Not only do I keep them around in case others need it, but I always have to look out for myself too!  The female body has a mind of it’s own!  P.S. I figured these weren’t necessary to link in the pic, as everyone has their fav; but if you need a recommendation Playtex Sport is superb!
